Milia
Milia are harmless small white or yellow hard bumps. A lot of people mistake them for whiteheads from their appearance, but they occur when keratin (protein) becomes trapped beneath the surface of the skin. They are often found in small clusters around the cheeks, eyelids and eye contour, these harmless but annoying blemishes can become irritating and noticeable.
Milia can appear spontaneously but can also be an indication that the skin is compromised, and a pharmaceutical homecare regime can prevent re-occurrence.
Removal is straightforward and most milia can be treated effectively, using either manual extraction methods or Advanced Cosmetic Procedure (ACP). If the milia is stubborn and prominent a course of treatment may be required to remove milia, and improve the overall condition of the skin.
