How does Excel HR Leg Vein Removal work?
The Excel HR is a safe and effective laser that exposes broken vessels to pulses of filtered light. The broken vessels will absorb this light and heat up, destroying the damaged vein, while leaving the surrounding tissue undamaged.
The machine can treat all skin types but vessels need to be visible in order to treat.
Duration of treatment – 15/30 Minutes
Anaesthesia required – *Patch test required 72 hours before but no numbing needed.
Downtime – You can expect some Redness, Swelling, Bruising and Hemosiderin staining.
Final results – 2-3 treatments for upto 70% effectiveness.

HOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT TAKE?
15/30 Minutes depending on the size of the area treated.
WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?
Initially the veins will disappear instantly but then become visible again. You will see the veins disperse over the following weeks/months depending on the size of the veins will determine the time it takes to disappear.
DOES THE TREATMENT HURT AND HAVE ANY DOWNTIME?
Mild discomfort and warm sensation which is quickly cooled down with the cold handpiece of the laser
It is normal to experience some redness and swelling which usually resolves within 24 hours
Bruising is possible and usually resolves within 7-10 days
Possible urticarial (hive-like) reaction which usually resolves within 1-2 days.
WHO IS THIS TREATMENT SUITABLE FOR?
For all skin types (veins need to be visible and treatment may not be effective if veins present due to a medical condition).
HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED?
Depending on the size of the area and type of veins treated you may need 2-3 treatments on the same area a minimum of 4-6 weeks apart. Large leg veins may take 2-3 months to resolve.
WHAT AREAS CAN BE TREATED
Red Spider leg veins, Purple Spider leg veins and Reticular leg veins. Any raised veins cannot be treated.
