LED Light Therapy
Here at Face the Future Clinic we use Celluma for our LED light therapy. It is a unique and unlike any other low-level light therapy device available. Based on NASA research Celluma delivers blue, red and near-infrared light energy simultaneously to safely treat a wide variety of skin conditions.
How LED Light Therapy Works?
Celluma light therapy promotes a natural photo biochemical reaction similar to the process of plant photosynthesis to deliver safe, UV-free, low-level light energy through FDA cleared, high-intensity LED devices. Each wavelength is absorbed by different molecules that act as a signalling mechanism for different cellular processes. Low-level-light therapy is based on Light Emitting Diode (LED) technology and is the application of light energy to the body for therapeutic benefits. The energy delivered by the LEDs has been shown to enhance cellular metabolism, accelerate the repair and replenishment of damaged skin cells, as well as stimulate the production of collagen — the foundation of healthy, smooth skin.
The Celluma uses three different lights to combat skin concerns:
Red light - is used for age-management to increase collagen production, reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles, improve skins firmness and resilience and lessen inflammation.
Blue light - is used to diminish acne bacteria, clear existing breakouts restoring a clear healthy appearance.
Near-infrared light - is used to improve the circulation of oxygen-rich blood in the body, promoting faster healing of deep tissues and pain relief.
LED light therapy can also be used as a powerful stand-alone therapy but also ideal following other treatments such as Micro needling, HydraFacial and skin peels to enhance the outcome following your treatment.
