How does Cosmelan work?
Cosmelan contains an exclusive combination of active ingredients with proven efficacy, which act on all phases of hyperpigmentation. The process totally eliminates existing hyperpigmentation, preventing its reappearance and the arrival of new dark spots. Providing all year round, effective results.
Cosmelan’s intensive corrective effect, regulates overproduction of melanin in the melanocytes, inhibiting and controlling the appearance of new dark spots. It is a dual corrective and controlling action which achieves both short and long-term results by keeping hyperpigmentation at bay.
The treatment consists of a pre-treatment at home kit (to use 2-4 weeks before treatment), an in-clinic prep peel, one in clinic treatment and a precise homecare regime to follow for the 12 months as part of the re-education phase of the melanocyte.

HOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT TAKE?
The appointment time will be approximately 45 minutes, in this time the Cosmelan 1 professional treatment mask will be applied, and you will then leave the clinic with the mask on (this will be left on for a period of 8 – 12 hours) all the aftercare products and instructions will be provided.
WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?
Results can be seen in as little as two weeks but can continue to improve, with best results between 30 and 60 days following the initial treatment.
DOES THE TREATMENT HURT AND HAVE ANY DOWNTIME?
Post treatment and over the next few weeks you will experience peeling, redness, and irritation, however this a normal part of the process. This may last until the application of Cosmelan 2 is reduced in the second month. Mesoestetic has a range of products which will be recommended to help calm the skin and reduce peeling and irritation significantly.
